    Avnet OnDemand is a web based video network specially designed to support the technology industry.
  2. Who is the Audience for Avnet OnDemand?
    OEMs, resellers, vars, engineers, sales and technical users of technology products and services.
  3. Who can post videos?
    Avnet suppliers, customers and employees can post videos and make them available for viewing on selected video channels.
  4. What does it cost?
    The cost for 30 minutes of video for 90 days viewing is $500. The 30 minutes can be used for up to 5 videos for the 90 day period. Cost does not include production of videos.
  5. How long can my videos be?
    Your videos can be as long as you like, however research shows that 6 to 8 minutes is best. Education and feature shows can go much longer.
  6. What resolution does Avnet OnDemand support?
    Avnet OnDemand currently supports 1024 by 768 pixel resolution. For optimum playback quality, upload videos with a minimum horizontal resolution of 1280 pixels. This will ensure that your will be displayed at the maximum resolution supported by Avnet OnDemand at the time of your upload. Larger resolutions will be scaled down to the maximum supported resolution.
  7. Can I capture information on who sees my videos?
    Avnet OnDemand will provide you with monthly reports showing how many people viewed your video, for how long, and where they clicked too. You can add a link to a call to action if you would like to capture specific information about viewers.
  8. Can I restrict copying my video to other sites?
    Yes, you determine if your video can be embedded in other video sites.
  9. Are there any other kind of advertising opportunities such as banner ads on Avnet OnDemand?
    We want to keep the site focused on the selected videos so we will not be offering competitive advertisements at this time.
  10. What is the required format of videos?
    Avnet OnDemand accepts most standard video formats. Non-standard formats can be transcoded at an additional cost.

  13. How is copyrighted material handled on AvnetOnDemand?
    When you are adding videos to Avnet OnDemand, you will be required to agree to the terms and conditions in the Avnet OnDemand user agreement. You will be prompted to agree to the user agreement each time you load a new video. The agreement requires that you are the owner of the copyrighted material or have permission to provide the material to Avnet OnDemand.
